GSNVideos asked:
Mike “The Mouth” Matusow wants revenge from his loss to Hellmuth in the last episode and takes it out on Todd Brunson when he places an all in bet that pays off. This episode shows that “The Mouth” has skills…serious skills. And new guy, amateur Mike Baxter goes head on with “The Unabomber” Phil Laak and proves that he’s a dangerous player at the table.

Phil Laak laying down KQs with both a flush draw and straight draw was completely donkified! He’s playing with scared money it seems!

Interesting situation with Mike having 44. Todd is a tight player, and probably isn’t going to play many hands preflop, and of those isn’t going to move in with many hands.
AK, AQ, QQ or better and 27 He’s only a slight dog with 44 vs that range. Throw in JJ, TT, 99, KQ, and mike still has decent odds to call. Then consider he’s less likely to have AA or KK because he limped, and even if Todd moves in for a potsized bet it’s a good call against that range.
the 27 game makes it a call.

Well there is surely still luck in play, but gambling? From that pov you could also say: Poker is acting or Poker is financial investment. Both ist right to a certain point. It takes skills such as: high level of concentration, calculation ability and experience to be a good poker player. What are those 3 skills worth in roulett? Nothing, because Roulette is gambling.

Mike is atually a very good player when he’s focused, aside from the 44 play. If you look back at previous seasons when he’s fresh he’s one of the best players at the table for me. Its just his steam control is woeful.

He gambled and it worked. Poker is gambling still am I right?

Funniest moment I have ever seen in high stakes at 33:00 into it… oh my god I never laughed so hard.

LOL on another video I kept seeing people commenting about how Mike the Mouth never gets lucky…. but he did in this one lol. Around 16:30
July 29th, 2009 at 11:19 pm
But in all fairness, he’s right. Calling 9000 pre flop with 67 os, ist stupid. He got Lucky and if he does that 1000 times, 990 times he will lose. Just a sucker will do that.
