GSNVideos asked:
5 million of player cash on the table with a buy-in of 500k — the stakes are raised on this episode of HSP. And to get the game started, a pot of nearly 500k is at stakes between Farha and Lauberte. And Doyle Brunson goes to toe-to-toe with WSP champ Jamie Gold. And in a very well played hand, Benyamine takes the great bluffer Gold for a ride. Benyamine, Antonius, Lauberte, Gold, Brunson, Greenstein, Farha, Negreanu, and Esfandiari sit down at this super aggressive table.

If you look closely, you will se that he really IS the only “true american” - he’s the only one at the table who is born in the US.

actually its pretty impressive how doyle read that gold has a flush too, the only thing he failed was that was not a better flush than doyle flush.

I read your comment before watching the video and as I was watching, waiting for doyle to make a bad fold, I saw the hand and was just thinking no way can this be the hand he folds. But it was.

u know why doyle is a racist? cuz he pointed out a thing he shudnt have said. he said he was the only true american.
joking or not thats the kind of thing that highlighted him on the topic.

bloody hell guys since when did high stakes poker become a forum for American racism and it’s evils?? Great show GSN, I love it for the “poker”. Cards have no race guys, relax.

They made a mistake at 17:00 Gabe said Guy could win with an A or a 10 however he could only win with the A beacause David already had a pair and he had a 10…

Jamie just pools away his money
he is a payoff wizard

Yeah, Doyle Brunson is probably a racist and a sexist. That’s why he lists Eli Elezra, Minh Ly, Cyndy Violette and Nicky Hilton as his friends on his website and says a lot nice things about them…
He was obviously kidding around on this show. If you stereotype him because he’s white and has a southern accent, you’re just as much of a bigot as anyone. And is it really necessary to call him names and make fun of him? The guy is in his seventies and has been disabled for fifty years.

He’s fighting a losing battle though. The whole American/Foreigner battle is a bit funny in my opinion. The only true Americans would have to be natives. (what exactly does it mean to be ‘from america’?”
Almost everyone within the U.S. came from Europe, and people continue to immigrate to this day. Does that make them any less “american” by todays definition? How many true native americans are left?

Now, if you have read “Super System” you would also realize that he has traditional “wife in the kitchen, men at the poker tables” family values.
He has only recently accepted females at the poker tables. He says poker is warfare, and he does NOT want to slit a woman’s throat.
Only the release of “Super System 2″ did he accept the savvy of “a small few” of female players. This is evident by him asking Jen Harman to write a segment for that book.
…Some say it was not his idea, but advised.

I apologize for the bias nature of my comment, and that is sincere. He may be fat, and a racist, but he’s not ignorant. lol.
Now, Doyle is not a typical extreme racist, he doesn’t want all blacks hanging from trees for example… he is more of a “If you’re not from America, GO BACK to where you came from” extremist.
He’s more a traditional “patriot” of sorts, loves his country and openly admits to despising what foreigners have done to it.

In my opinion, in today’s world, you should have some pretty serious, solid evidence before you label a man something as vile as racist. What evidence do you have? You aren’t the typical youtube flame thrower, 98% of what you’ve posted on these HSP pages I either agree with or have at least found funny, so I’d like to know.

The truth hurts.
Doyle is a racist. He can’t help it, at the time he came up it was not only common but condoned.

im not saying that he is a bad player, just saying that he needs to stop saying that he loves everything. if you look at Esfandiari net worth,he has like 2 million, and he is risking like a 1/4 of his entire net worth,he is going to be tight, and that means less action, so that makes it less exciting, I think he is a good player,if you look at the earlier episodes he plays amazingly, with great reads but the buy in is less so he is able to play the way he wants to.
