Grande Daniel…leggi nel pensiero…secondo me per leggere in quel modo, studia i giocatori nel minimo dettaglio…altrimenti non so…รจ un mago

So, there are 2 reasons why daniel would call on the turn:
1) He thought he could pick up a 2 pair and a big pot, but this is obviously the wrong play considering the odds.
2) He thought he could bluff mcclean off at the turn or river, but he checked both.
So, for that reason i dont think he was completely convinced mcclean had aces.

nah, if u know he got the aces, if u get 2 pairs then ull win ALOT.. so he was just waiting for 2par or something… he scare the shit out of the other guy, IF daniel whould gone ALL in on river, the other guy might had folded, because Daniel goes all in when he “was sure” he had aces.

and now think, would Daniel raise preflop with such crap hands, and then call big reraise.Only hands he could put Daniel on, was pocket pair, and call on flop looked like Daniel hitted set , and slow played it. So guy with AA checked 2 times, not to get reraised.
June 18th, 2009 at 1:06 am
lol well he obviously wasnt sure he had aces otherwise he wouldve folded the flop. I think he was just kidding around with his read.

whatever you donk

This wasnt so amazing.. daniel raised 3000 pre flop and this guy reraised him 9000… i would have put him on KK or AA too
—
of course you would, you saw the cards lol what a ridiculous comment

Also that guy has to consider that negranus hand withstod his first raise, then daniel got to see 2 free cards, giving him infinite pot odds. Such a dangerous situation for the AA guy, he could so easily of been outdrawn. When you let people in that cheeply, any crap hand can KILL your pocket aces, in this case : 25,5Q,45,22,44,55,QQ,A3
June 28th, 2009 at 8:46 am
True, i think negranu could of taken that hand quite easily. With the board pairing in that it’s increadibly dangerous for that other guy, Daniel could of easily represented that 5 as having hit his hand, possibly Q5s?? Or even say 25s (which are hands daniel is known to fancy). I think a bet on the river would have almost certainly seen this guy fold, he has aces up vs potential trips/fullhouse, he was pretty lucky daniel was bein nice and checked it down, prob cuz his canadian lol

Because you’ve gotta think about it, Negreanu would only call if he had a monster hand, plus, he said “i’ll bet he’s got aces” well, if he went all in, that might have thrown Negreanu off, because then he would be thinking “why is he going all in if he has Aces, would’t he try to value bet me”?
You know what I mean?
July 3rd, 2009 at 6:48 pm
I agree with you, but still, you gotta take that chance and push him all in first
July 3rd, 2009 at 10:14 pm
lol ofcourse hes fucking intimidated, hes against possibly one of the best poker players in the world, whos just stated to him hes exact hand. Negranu could easily have a set, two pair, full house, etc. His bet had too much to lose so i think checking it down wasn’t a bad idea.
July 5th, 2009 at 11:54 pm
I disagree, i think daniels read threw him off. Daniel could have been setting a trap there, guy raises with his aces, then daniel pushes all in. This guy would be thinking, FUCK Negranu knows i have aces, any bet i make has EVERYTHING to lose since if he calls or re-raises he obviously has aces beat.
July 7th, 2009 at 3:24 pm
I think we’ve reached a consensus that he should’ve bet AT LEAST on the river.
July 9th, 2009 at 2:27 am
when Daniel said that the guy has AA he just froze…the guy should have said something.
July 9th, 2009 at 6:20 am
Mclean should not have gotten intimidated. He could have made the pot bigger.
July 10th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
daniel negreanu is the best pokergamer of the world=)
July 10th, 2009 at 11:06 pm
He reraised preflop so a big pair is a possibility. Then he bet the flop with a Q showing so AA and KK are more likely than JJ or TT if he plays passively.
As the commentator said, Daniel talked his way into a couple of free cards.
