Glen B asked:
Poker stars won’t allow me to place money on the account. Any other sites available that will accept it?
I wasn’t aware it was illegal in the U.S. anymore?
Does sportsbook.com offer texas hold’em?
ZCT; can you direct/guide me to the tables to play texas hold’em? Not casino hold’em but where certain amount of players sit at a table?

Not if you live in the USA. On line gambling is now against the law and the banks (not the site) will no longer do business with and online gambling sites. You may be able to find a few sites still working inside the USA but prepare to be audited by the IRS next year if you do use them…

Be careful with online poker sites, alot are scams that steal your credit/debit card numbers and your identity.

The easiest thing to do if you live in the US is to open an epassporte.com account. You can fund that from your Bank Of America account and then fund the poker account with the epassporte.com account. It’s very easy.
And to answer some wrong answers on here. The act of playing poker is not illegal in the US, although about 4 states have outlawed it, not that such laws are ever enforced.
Also to claim that large multi-million dollar sites like Poker Stars and Full Tilt steal your credit card number is a baseless and ignorant allegation.
Update: Yep, Sportsbook offer all kinds of gambling, including poker.

You can use the following to make deposits if you are a US citizen:
Make A Deposit: An excellent choice for U.S. Players
EPassporte: Ideal choice for American Players
MyWebAtm: Good alternative for US Players
PokerStars has excellent Texas Hold’em as does Mayagaming. Mayagaming I know accepts MakeADeposit.

I use my Bank of America credit card on two site with no problem:
1. Absolute Poker
2. Poker Host
I haven’t had one problem with them yet.
Go to Learn To Win Holdem and download either one of them.
